AlterInter in Asia

Monday 27 March 2006

After the Asia Social Forum held in 2003 in Hyderabad followed by the WSF 2004 in Mumbai, several activists that had been working closely with Alternatives and Alternatives-International thought there was a need to work with Asian social movements through providing them with a common platform. It was felt that local movements are strengthened with international linkages. Social movements in every country of Asia has everything to gain from other countries.
